Pedestrian, 83, Fatally Struck By Car In Unincorporated Des Plaines: Police

DES PLAINES, IL — An 83-year-old Des Plaines man was struck and killed by a car while walking Tuesday night in unincorporated Des Plaines.

The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. while the man was crossing the street on Potter Road near the intersection of West Golf Road, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office, which is handling the investigation.

The man was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at around 8:30 p.m.

Police said Thursday there is no indication of foul play.
