Tuesday Blotter: Man Pulls up to House in Truck, Attempts to Enter Garage

Theft

Police were dispatched for a theft report at Planet Fitness, 751 W. Golf Road, at 7:35 p.m. on Feb. 6. According to the report, an unknown offender removed a man’s items, including his wallet, keys and clothes, from an unlocked locker while he exercised. Property loss was estimated at $200.

A man reported suspicious circumstances to police at 5:01 p.m. on Feb. 4. According to the report, the man’s mother, in the 2300 block of Scott Street, said she received two phone calls on Feb. 6 from an unknown caller. Each time the caller addressed her by her first name, and when she responded, the caller hung up.

The man told police her neighbor said on Feb. 4, at approximately 4 p.m., an unknown male subject, backed a U-Haul truck into the driveway of the residence and attempted to open the garage door. After the attempt to open the garage proved unsuccessful, according to the report, the man then walked toward the house. The neighbor asked him what he was doing at the house, and the man quickly got into the truck and left the scene.

Criminal Damage to Property

Police responded to a vandalism report at a residence in the 800 block of E. Grant Drive at 8:05 a.m. on Feb. 6. According to the report, sometime between 4 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. on Feb. 5, an unknown offender knocked off two side mirrors on a vehicle parked on the street in front of the residence.
