The Des Plaines building is currently owned by the city.

A vacant Miner Street building owned by the city of Des Plaines could soon be for sale, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The building located at 1486 Miner Street has been owned by the city for the past five years. City officials are considering selling it to a developer to help generate sales tax revenue. The building brought in $32,000 in sales tax revenue when it was privately owned in 2008, the newspaper reports.
