Wednesday Blotter: Stolen Grill, Air Conditioner, Make-up, Paintball Vandalism, More

Theft

Police stated a grill and air conditioner unit were removed from the backyard of a residence in the 200 block of Warrington Road sometime between 5:50 a.m. on March 22 and 7:16 a.m. on April 6.

A witness told police that on March 25, while in the backyard, two men were seen shining a flashlight at his home from the railroad tracks. After they saw him on the patio, they left. Property loss was estimated at $1,200.

Theft

Police responded to a theft report in the 900 block of Beau Court at 8:37 p.m. on April 8. Police stated, sometime between 3 a.m. and noon on April 8, someone removed an Xbox gaming counsel, Xbox remote control, a laptop computer and charger from the residence. Property loss was estimated at $700.

Burglary to Vehicle

Police were dispatched for a burglary report in the 300 block of Oxford Road at 1:04 p.m. on April 6. Police stated, sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 1:03 p.m. on April 6, an unknown offender broke the driver’s side door on a vehicle parked in front of a residence, and removed a radar detector. Property loss was estimated at $400.

Petit Theft

Silvia Juarez, 18, of Arlington Heights, was charged with petit theft after she allegedly attempted to leave K-Mart, 1155 E. Oakton St., without paying for a bottle of Ultra Match liquid foundation, estimated property loss $5.45, between 6:50 p.m. and 6:57 p.m. on April 6. Juarez was issued a citation for petit theft and advised not to return to the store.

Malicious Mischief

Police responded to a malicious mischief report in the 1900 block of S. Lee Street at 11:03 p.m. on April 6. Police stated, at 11 p.m. someone shot an orange paintball at the home’s front picture window. The window was not damaged.
