44 Pounds of Meth Found During I-55 Traffic Stop
A K-9 sniffed out the drugs hidden in the truck's tailgate during a search in Woodridge.

Woodridge, IL - Illinois State Police seized 44 pounds of methamphetamine May 16 from inside the tailgate of a truck pulled over on the Stevenson Expressway in Woodridge.
The drugs are worth an estimated street value of $300,000, according to Illinois State Police.
Francisco J. Navarro Montes, 37, of Columbus, Ohio, was stopped at 2:45 p.m. for speeding on Interstate 55 at Lemont Road, and the trooper called for a K-9 unit to help with the stop.

Montes was charged with possession of methamphetamine, state police reported, and he was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
