Six Reported Injured in BNSF-Amtrak Collision
A low-speed collision involving train No. 1242 has halted train traffic into Union Station, according to reports.
Chicago Breaking News is reporting that at least six people were hurt in a low speed collision involving a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train from Aurora and an Amtrak train.
Metra officials told Chicago Breaking News that accident happened at about 8:30 a.m. at the south end of Union Station, between tracks 2 and 4 and involved train No. 1242.
Metra has reported that Train No.1256 scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:45 a.m., train No. 1258 scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:49 a.m. are stopped due to the accident involving the Amtrak train.
