Downers Grove Commissioner Bob Barnett Files for Re-Election with Nearly 500 Signatures

The Barnett for Council campaign announced that it filed nomination papers yesterday morning to get Bob Barnett placed on the ballot seeking re-election to the next Downers Grove Village Council. Barnett filed petitions with nearly 500 signatures compiled by 17 petition circulators, in addition to the candidate himself.

 "I am honored to have had so many friends and families helping me get on the ballot to return to work as a member of the next Village Council. With their continued work and assistance, I have no doubt the policies we began several years ago can be, and will be, continued" Bob Barnett said. To that end, Barnett stated further that Downers Grove is a "leaner, more efficient government providing better quality services than we were three years ago. It has been a privilege to serve and I am looking forward to the public debate over the next several months - about where we have been and where we are going."
