DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A student at Avery Coonley School may have recently made world history as the youngest person to deliver a TEDx talk. Bennett Haried, 4, of Hinsdale, who gave a speech called "Building Big Dreams: You Have to Make it Stable" at the gifted student school in late October, will be recognized once World Book of Records vets his information.

If confirmed, Haried would unseat Kiara Kaur, who set the previous record by delivering a TEDx talk at age five in 2021.

"This event highlights the immense potential of our student's young minds, demonstrating that the youngest minds really can make a difference!” Coonley School Head Dr. Kirsty Montgomery said in a statement.
