Car Stolen From Hampton Inn Suites In Downers Grove
Police say the stolen car was later in a hit-and-run crash in Aurora.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A car was stolen from the Hampton Inn Suites in Downers Grove and later involved in a hit-and-run crash in Aurora, according to police.
Officers were called to the hotel at 1500 Opus Pl. just after 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 for a report that a car had been stolen. When they got to the scene, officers say they found glass and a steering column on the ground.
A woman told police she had parked her rental car in the hotel lot around 5 p.m. on Feb. 9 before leaving the area. When she returned the following day, she noticed the car had been stolen, a police report said.

Aurora police later reported that the car had been part of a hit-and-run crash and was set to be towed.
