WESTMONT, IL — Westmont's annual Wicked West Fest will offer plenty of spooky entertainment on Oct. 21 for those who want to get a headstart on Halloween. The revelry includes a costume contest, trick-or-treating and casket race.

Costume Contest

Head to the intersection of Irving and Cass in downtown Westmont at 10:15 a.m. to take part in the annual Wicked West Fest costume contest.

Trick-or-Treat Trail

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., kids can visit businesses in downtown Westmont to gather Halloween candy.

Caskets on Cass

At 12:30 p.m., racers will run down Cass Avenue with caskets for the Caskets on Cass race. The original, homemade caskets are sponsored by businesses, residents and organizations in the village.

Haunted Forest Tour

Visitors can take a wagon tour through a haunted forest at Diane Main Park, 200 W. 59th St., from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Smith Woods will be overrun with ghosts, monsters and other scary sights and sounds, courtesy or Sheer Terror Tours. Between 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., the terror will be toned down to accommodate younger participants.

The cost to attend is $8 per person.
