Downers Grove Public Library Celebrates National Friends of Libraries Week

The 10th annual National Friends of Libraries Week will be celebrated Oct. 18 through Oct. 24.

The Downers Grove Public Library would like to acknowledge the Downers Grove Friends of the Library for their generosity, which is seen all year long.

The Downers Grove Friends of the Library are members of the community whose active support has provided the library with funds for audiobooks, kids summer reading clubs, musical programs, and sponsorships of various events and services. Friends of the Library members encourage use of the library and instill a love of reading in others. Occasionally, they volunteer their time at special library events. In addition to these gifts, the Friends also sponsor ongoing activity groups that are open to all and enrich the entire community.
