Dr. Russell Named 'Superintendent Of Distinction' For 2024
Dr. Kevin Russell was honored by peers who represent the DuPage County Region of Illinois Association of School Administrators.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — District 58 Superintendent Dr. Kevin Russell was recently named a Superintendent of Distinction by the Illinois Association of School Administrators (IASA).
“I am truly honored and humbled by this award. I’m very grateful to work alongside so many talented superintendents in DuPage County and am thankful every day to work with such a committed group of families, staff, students and Board of Education," Russell said in a statement.
Russell receives the honor after being chosen by his peers in the DuPage County Region. He is set to receive the award at a ceremony slated for April in Springfield.

Beforestarting as District 58 superintendent in 2019, Dr. Russell served as superintendent of Chicago Ridge School District 127.5. Prior to that, he worked as assistant superintendent at District 181 in Clarendon Hills and as principal and as assistant principal at both Walker Elementary School and Clarendon Hills Middle School.
