Fire Department Sets Training in August
Fire department activity you are seeing is for training purposes.
If you see the Downers Grove Fire Department in the 4600 block of Seeley through Wednesday this week, do not fear. There is no real fire. The department is conducting training drills.
Times of training will vary from day to day and will either be from 8 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. Fire department vehicles will be on the road, but will not block traffic. Signs will be posted in the area. Motorists should use caution when driving through this area.
