Fonda de Paula is now serving authentic Mexican cuisine and craft cocktails at 1012 Curtiss St., Downers Grove.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Fonda de Paula is now open in Downers Grove. The restaurant focuses on cuisine typically served at fondas, which are intimate, family-owned Mexican restaurants.
Fonda de Paula's menu offers an array of items for lunch and dinner. The offerings include beer-battered cod tacos, sirloin fajitas, poblano rajas burritos and more. Diners can choose a bowl instead of a burrito.
Chile relleno, salmon ala Veracruzana and poblano-infused Caesar salads are also available.

For drinks, diners can sip paloma on draft, a spicy margarita, a michelada, or their choice of other inventive cocktails and Mexican beers. There's even a nonalcoholic mai tai.
Located at 1012 Curtiss St., Fonda de Paula is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
