Grove Express 5K Preps For Thanksgiving Day Race
Registration is open for the 2025 Grove Express 5K, which will take over downtown Downers Grove Thanksgiving morning.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Race day is approaching for the 2025 Grove Express 5K Run/Walk, set for Nov. 27. The annual race raises money to support programming and scholarships for students in Downers Grove Grade School District 58 and Community High School District 99.
Early bird registration for the race has closed, but runners can still register to get the standard pricing of $45 (plus a processing fee) through Nov. 27 at 7:45 a.m.
Participants are encouraged to wear costumes to the Grove Express 5K, which often sees runners dressed in turkey hats, tutus and other festive gear. No pets are allowed in the race, but participants may bring babies and toddlers in strollers.
