DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Residents can get rid of their old Christmas lights by dropping them off during the Downers Grove Holiday Lights Recycling initiative. The recycling drive kicked off Monday and will continue through Feb. 9.

Lights can be dropped off at the public works station at 5101 Walnut Ave. or at Fire Station 2, 5240 Main St. The strings of lights should not be put in bags or boxes.
