'Humility, Hard Work' Make Kim Venzon Patch Community Leader

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Without community leaders, Downers Grove wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate all they give to the towns and cities they call home.

Organizes volunteers to feed kids on weekends

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

For 11 years, Kim has been feeding kids on weekends. Starting with one school, she now is managing 13 schools, feeding 250 kids and working with dozens of volunteers.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

If humility and hard work were Olympic events, Kim would win the GOLD.
