Neptune Society to Host Open House in New Downers Grove Location

Neptune Society, the largest provider of affordable cremation services in the nation, will host an open house at its newly relocated Downers Grove office.

Since 1973, Neptune Society has served families across the country. Earlier this year, their Orland Park location relocated to their new address at 1628 Ogden Ave., Downers Grove.

Members of the community are invited to attend the open house Nov. 17 from 3 to 7 p.m. Neptune Society will provide information on services and complimentary refreshments and hors d’oeuvres.

According to the Cremation Association of North America (CANA), the cremation rate has nearly doubled over the past 15 years, from 24.8 percent in 1999 to 46.7 percent in 2014. CANA cites the desire for new memorialization traditions, personalization, and affordability as driving factors in the rising cremation rate.

“Neptune Society decided to move to a larger office to better accommodate the many families we serve on a daily basis,” said Sarah Sebby, Service Manager at Neptune Society’s Downers Grove office. “You can meet our staff, as well as many other people in the community that are coming to offer their support.”
