Over $2K Stolen During Car Burglary In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — More than $2,000 in cash was stolen during a car burglary that took place at the XSport Fitness on 75th Street.

Police were called to the gym at 1320 75th St. around 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 25 for a report of a car burglary. The victim told police he had left his keys and wallet in the car's center console while he went into the gym. Per a police report, he added that the car had been left unlocked.

When the man got back to his car, he noticed the wallet had been stolen, along with $2,010 in cash that had been in the car's center console. Four credit cards were in the wallet and were later canceled by the victim.
