4 Phones Stolen From Shopping Carts At Trader Joe’s In Downers Grove
Police say the thefts happened around the same time while shoppers were distracted.

DOWNERS GROVE — Phones and a wallet were stolen from four shoppers’ carts while they were shopping at Trader Joe’s in Downers Grove. Police say both thefts took place around 4 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the store at 122 Ogden Ave.
The first victim told police her phone was stolen from her purse while she left her cart unattended. Police say the woman later found that her email login had been changed.
Another victim told police a wallet and cellphone were stolen from their cart. Two more shoppers reported that their phones were stolen in the same timeframe, per the police blotter.
