Pilot Loses Control, Plane Rolls, Skids Into Yard Near Brookeridge Airpark
The incident, involving a single-engine airplane, took place just after 12 p.m. Friday.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A pilot lost control of a single-engine plane, which rolled over and skidded into a backyard near Brookeridge Airpark in Downers Grove Friday afternoon, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office (DCSO).
The incident took place around 12:10 p.m., according to an update from DCSO spokesperson Michael Cirolia.
Per the update, the pilot was attempting to land at Brookeridge Airpark when the plane "veered off the runway" before rolling and coming to a stop in a neighboring backyard.

After the incident, the pilot and passenger were alert and were taken to a nearby hospital.
DCSO did not immediately respond to Patch's request for more information Friday afternoon.
