Residents Invited To Discuss Downers Grove FY2026 Budget At Meetings

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The village of Downers Grove will hold a series of meetings for residents to discuss the proposed budget for FY2026.

Among the budget measures are an increase in property tax levies and increases to home rule and hotel tax levies. The village has also allotted $36.2 million for infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.

The talks will begin with a public hearing and budget discussion at the Nov. 4 village council meeting. Subsequent talks will be held at village council meetings on Nov. 11, Nov. 18, Dec. 2 and Dec. 9. A meeting is also planned on Nov. 8 to coincide with the Coffee with the Council session.
