Trick-Or-Treating, Window Painting: Things To Do In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove is getting a headstart on Halloween with a weekend filled with eerie tours, window painting and trick-or-treating at downtown businesses. Here are some things to do in Downers Grove for the weekend of Oct 21 and Oct. 22.

Oct. 21

9 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Halloween Window Painting

Add your art to the windows of businesses in downtown Downers Grove for the village's 2023 Halloween Window Painting event. Bring your own brushes and donate a canned food at 933A Curtiss St. to pick up paints. Food donations will benefit FISH Pantry.

10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Living Cemetery

Main Street Cemetery will come to life...er...death as actors perform in a Living Cemetery. The performers will depict the lives of some of Downers Grove's earliest residents and share how the village got its start.

Oct. 22:

12 p.m. to 1 p.m.: Costume Contest

Don your best duds to take part in the Downers Grove Lions Club Costume Contest. The contest will take place at Fishel Park.

1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Trick-Or-Treating in Downtown Downers Grove

Visit businesses in downtown Downers Grove to trick-or-treat and start collecting all that Halloween candy.
