• Former Accolade Health Care nursing home to be turned into family housing (centralillinoisproud.com) — East Peoria’s City Council has approved converting the former Accolade Health Care nursing home on Centennial Drive into 50 three-bedroom family rental units at about $1,600 a month. Commissioners welcomed the reuse of the long-vacant property but noted potential flooding-related maintenance issues, and developers say the project will not include subsidized low-income housing, with tenants expected to move in by early fall next year.
