4. Judith Glassmeyer (riverbender.com) — Friends and former colleagues in the Edwardsville area may remember Judith K. Glassmeyer, who retired from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1994 and has passed away at 86. The longtime Metro East resident is remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and public servant, with private graveside services planned and memorials suggested to 5A’s Animal Shelter or St. Paul United Methodist Church of Rosewood Heights.
