1 Dead In Elgin Stabbing
The stabbing happened in the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
ELGIN, IL — One person was killed in a stabbing in Elgin Saturday afternoon.
The stabbing happened in the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday. When officers arrived at the scene they found a ma with life-threatening injuries, according to a news release from the police department.
The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

One person of interest is in custody following the incident. The stabbing remains under investigation, but authorities do not believe there is any threat to the public, police said.
