Suburban Doctor Sexually Assaulted 16-Year-Old With Disability: Authorities
The doctor did not know the teen but assaulted the 16-year-old after following the minor into a bathroom at a hotel pool, authorities said.

ELGIN, IL β A doctor in the northwest suburbs is accused of sexually assaulting a teen with a disability at a hotel pool last month, according to authorities.
Trevor J. Roston is charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, unlawful restraint, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of a child, authorities said.
Roston restrained and assaulted a 16-year-old with an intellectual disability on Nov. 29 after following the teen into a poolside bathroom at an Elgin hotel where they were both staying and locking the door, according to the Kane County Stateβs Attorneyβs Office, which added Roston did not know the teen.

Roston was working as an adult hospitalist at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin at the time of the assault but has since been fired, authorities said, noting that he is board certified in pediatrics but did not practice it in Elgin.
He was ordered detained at a hearing on Monday and will next appear in court Dec. 29, according to authorities.
