Elgin Area Chamber to Host 2 South Elgin Ribbon Cuttings

The Elgin Area Chamber is always eager to welcome new businesses into the community and to celebrate business milestone events or expansions by hosting ribbon cutting celebrations.

Two upcoming ribbon cuttings are scheduled in South Elgin for Heritage Woods, 700 N. McLean Blvd., on Thursday, June 6, 2024 with an Open House from 2-4pm and ribbon cutting at 2:30pm and a grand opening event at America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses at 472 S. Randall Road, on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 8:30am.

“We invite you to join our Elgin Area Chamber leadership team, board members and ambassadors, along with South Elgin officials, by showing them our community’s support,” said Carol Gieske, CEO/President, Elgin Area Chamber.

Heritage Woods, a beacon of affordable assisted lifestyle for adults aged 65 and above, is commemorating its 15 anniversary with an afternoon of networking, delectable food, refreshing beverages, and a chance to win incredible raffle prizes.

Heritage Woods offers adults vital support, while empowering them to maintain their independence. “We are a one-of-a-kind facility that accepts public aide, so our private pay residents do not have to transfer to a nursing home and can remain in their apartment,” says Lindsey Signorella, executive director, Heritage Woods. “We have a variety of programs and events on site, serve 150 residents, and focus on many active programs. Since we have our own bus, we provide transportation for shopping, local community events, dining at restaurants, and join in activities at Senior Services in Elgin.

Kelly Maurici, assistant executive director, adds that “we focus on love, compassion and dignity and offer care through our certified nursing assistants. Our separate White Oaks Memory Care on site serves 32 adults with round-the-clock care.”

Farooq Samiuddin, general manager of the new America’s Best South Elgin location, notes that “not only is this my first America’s Best location, but I am also thrilled to open a brand new store and become an active member of the South Elgin community. I am proud to bring to the South Elgin community a new America’s Best location that will give residents access to high-quality eye care and eyewear at an affordable price. At America’s Best we believe that everyone deserves to see their best in order to live their best.”

For residents of South Elgin, the new America’s Best store will mean access to quality eye exams performed by a licensed optometrist for an affordable price, allowing more members of the community to safeguard their ocular health. A huge selection of frames is also available.
