Elgin Man Jailed In Fatal Stabbing Of Woman
French Pierre faces first-degree murder charges in connection with the death of Dreanna D. Booker.

ELGIN, IL — A 36-year-old man is accused of stabbing to death a woman over the weekend in Elgin.
Pierre J. French, of Elgin, now faces two counts of first-degree murder charges in Kane County Circuit Court. He is accused of stabbing Dreanna D. Booker several times, causing her death, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.
The Elgin Police Department was called to the 700 block of Bluff City Boulevard in Elgin at about 1 a.m. on Saturday for a reported stabbing and found Booker dead, with multiple stab wounds to her body, according to the news release.

French was taken into custody without incident.
French will remain detained at the Kane County Jail as court proceedings move forward. He is next expected in court on Dec. 18.
