Elgin Patch Hero 'Loves Being A Nurse'

SOUTH ELGIN, IL —When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

A South Elgin resident nominated Lindsay Booe, also from South Elgin, as a local Patch hero. Here's what was said about Lindsay:

Nurse

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
My daughter is a nurse at NWM Chicago and wanted to work with COVID-19 patients but she lives at home with us and she is a type 1 diabetic and I had to insist she get changed to work with non COVID-19 patient’s.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
She is so caring and loves being a nurse.
