Exclusive Agatha Christie Event at Half Price Books in Bloomingdale

Author Kate Gingold talks about Christie's 1920s novels and the references unfamiliar to today's reader at this free presentation.

(Gnu Ventures Co.)

Fresh from the International Agatha Christie Festival, author Kate Gingold will bring her "Lost Lingo" presentation to the Half Price Booksstore in Bloomingdale.

"Lost Lingo" is based on Gingold's glossary Agatha Annotated: Investigating the Books of the 1920s, and uncovers unfamiliar words and obscure references that aren't familiar to today's reader. Using visuals and dramatic readings, "Lost Lingo" uncovers one-hundred-year-old terms you may be skipping over now to add a new level to your reading.

This free event will be held on Saturday, May 3, from 1:30p until 3:00p at the Half Price Books store at 366 W. Army Trail Road in Bloomingdale, Illinois. Come out to learn more about Agatha Christie's novels and browse her books. And a reminder: Agatha Annotated makes a great Mother's Day gift for your Christie fan!
