Funeral Fundraiser For Sisters Killed By Older Brother: 'Taken Away From Us'
A 10-year-old and 21-year-old were killed, with the older sister leaving behind an infant child.
STREAMWOOD, IL — A fundraiser is collecting donations for the family of two sisters who were fatally stabbed last week by their older brother in Streamwood, according to reports.
Emergency personnel were dispatched Wednesday night to the 1600 block of McKool Avenue in the Woodland Heights East subdivision for a reported stabbing and found Janiya Jenkins, 21, and Eyani Jones, 10, dead in the home, according to police.
After days of searching, authorities took 25-year-old Jalonie Jenkins into custody late Sunday night in Downers Grove, police said.

WLS confirmed the three are sibings, citing friends of the victims.
“On May 28th, two beautiful babies were taken away from us,” said the GoFundMe webpage, which was created to raise money for funeral costs and other family expenses, and which noted that Janiya Jenkins leaves behind an infant child. “Anything will help. Thank you in advance.”

As of mid-day Tuesday, the fundraiser had received nearly $19,000 in donations, just shy of its $20,000 goal.
