Bensenville Water Park & Splash Pad plans for delayed opening in June
The Bensenville Park District announced the opening of the Bensenville Water Park & Splash Pad for the 2025 season will be delayed.

Bensenville, Ill. (May 22, 2025)— The Bensenville Park District announced the opening of the Bensenville Water Park & Splash Pad, located at 1100 W. Wood Street, will be delayed until June due to unforeseen circumstances. The water park was originally scheduled to open Memorial Day.
“We understand and share our patrons’ disappointment regarding the delayed opening of the water park,” says Executive Director Joe Vallez, who announced the delay at the May 21 park board meeting. “Cool temperatures and contractor basin repair delays impacted our decision to postpone the opening. We appreciate everyone’s continued patience and support.”
Following the 2024 season, it was discovered that repair work was needed for the recently-installed water park pool basin. Delays in these repairs have left the zero-entry pool unable to be filled. The diving well and water slide areas are free of issues and have been operational for several weeks.

Staff remains hopeful that Wood Street Fitness Aqua Zumba classes and district swimming lessons can begin as scheduled, weather and temperature permitting.
As a thanks to water park season passholders for their patience, the district is providing two guest passes per passholder household that purchased prior to May 26 valued at more than $25 for use during the 2025 season. Passholder guest passes may be claimed at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, located at 1000 W. Wood Street in Bensenville.
