Elmhurst Bears Cheer Program Crowned National Champions

The program capped a season of unprecedented growth and regional dominance.

ELMHURST, IL – The Elmhurst Bears Youth Football and Cheer Club proudly announces that its cheer program has achieved national acclaim, securing multiple championship titles at the recent Pop Warner National Cheer & Dance Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina.

This extraordinary success marks the culmination of a season characterized by significant program expansion and an impressive sweep of regional competitions.

In a remarkable trajectory over just four years, the Elmhurst Bears cheer program has blossomed from a humble beginning of 57 dedicated athletes to a robust organization boasting eight teams and 145 participants, ranging in age from 4 to 13. This rapid expansion includes four elite competitive squads that have successfully propelled the program into the national spotlight, demonstrating a compelling story of growth and achievement.

The 2025 season laid a strong foundation for national success at the Mid-America Pop Warner Regional Championships. All four competitive Elmhurst Bears teams delivered dominant performances, capturing first place in their respective divisions. Displaying exceptional skill and unwavering dedication, both the Jr. Pee Wee Level 2 squad (comprising 33 talented 5th graders) and the Pee Wee Level 1 team (composed of 4th-7th graders) were awarded the prestigious Grand Champion titles for their entire levels. This regional sweep underscored their consistent excellence, with all four teams maintaining an undefeated record throughout the conference season, earning their well-deserved berths at the national competition held December 8-11.
