Bethel United Church of Christ to Feature Flutist Steve Yepez

Bethel United Church of Christ’s second summer concert on Friday, August 22nd at 7 pm will feature flutist Steve Yepez and pianist Jeffrey Panko showcasing music by Robert Schumann, Blaz Pucihar, Val Coleman and Amy Beach. An active freelance musician in the greater Chicago area, Yepez is the founding member of the Chicago-based chamber ensemble The Yepez players. He has performed chamber music with many prominent artists throughout the Chicago area and has performed with groups such as the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra and Orbert Davis, as principal flute with the Chicago Summer Opera Theater, Chicago Arts Orchestra, Orchestra NOVA and the Chicago Metropolitan Orchestra.

The concert will last approximately 1 hour without intermission, and is free. There will be a freewill offering taken at the door.

Bethel United Church of Christ is located at 315 E. St. Charles Road, in Elmhurst. Parking is free and the church is accessible.
