Celebration Will Mark DuPage River and Warrenville Road Bridge Projects' Completion
Officials from DuPage County, the city of Warrenville and the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County are hosting the event this month.

WHEATON – DuPage County, the city of Warrenville and the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County will hold a news conference and ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 1:30 p.m. to announce the completion of the West Branch DuPage River and Warrenville Road Bridge projects.
DuPage County’s Stormwater Management Department and Division of Transportation (DuDOT) have each recently completed projects along the West Branch DuPage River. For Stormwater Management, this is the final phase of recent flood control and water quality improvements to the river, including flood control berms, in-stream and stream bank restoration and a re-meander of the river to improve conveyance. In tandem with the re-meander, DuDOT replaced and widened the Warrenville Road Bridge, which was at the end of its serviceable life.
