ELMHURST, IL – Drivers can expect 15-minute delays Thursday in the area where Vallette Street goes under the Interstate 290 bridge, the city said. The contractor working on the Interstate 290-294 project is planning bridge beam work. The delays are expected to be between 7 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. The city said signage would be displayed before Thursday to alert drivers that the work would be taking place. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
