Drunken Elmhurst Hospital Patient Climbs into Security Car: Police

An Elmhurst Hospital patient who was admitted for intoxication hadn’t quite sobered up before he was released Sept. 9.

Elmhurst police report the man opened the back passenger side door of a security car and started to climb inside around 10:43 p.m.

Police believe he may have mistaken the security car for a taxi. They graciously placed him into an actual cab and sent him on his way.
