Elmhurst Catches Burglary Suspects In Act: Cops
Officers watched the suspects break into a restaurant, police said. The suspects are believed to be linked to burglaries around the suburbs.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police this week took part in catching four burglary suspects under surveillance as the group broke into a Downers Grove restaurant, authorities said.
In a statement, Elmhurst detectives identified potential connections between burglaries in town and other suburbs, finding a silver Jeep Compass to be a vehicle of interest, according to a police news release.
On Monday, Elmhurst detectives, along with other agencies, started surveillance on the Jeep and a white Kia Soul traveling with it, police said.

About 2 a.m., police said they watched as the suspects burglarized Mr. Submarine restaurant on Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove. Two men broke the glass door and entered the restaurant, while two women serving as lookouts were parked across the street in the Kia, police said.
The women were arrested after a traffic stop near Ogden and Interstate 355.

The Jeep, occupied by four men, fled south on I-355, but came to a stop near Maple Avenue and I-355 and ran away, police said.
Police caught two of the men after a short pursuit.
Officers from Elmhurst, Downers Grove and other towns were unable to find the other two men.
The suspects, all from Chicago, were Andrew Moore, 30; Justen Wallace, 23; Alexis Reed, 32; and Nadia Chillis, 34.
After going to the DuPage County Jail, they were released.
All four face burglary charges. The men were also charged with criminal damage to property and resisting a police officer.
Helping Elmhurst and Downers Grove during the investigation were officers from Addison, Lombard, Hinsdale, Darien, Woodridge, Wheaton, Aurora, and the sheriff's offices in DuPage and Cook counties.
