In an official context, the local facility will be known as Endeavor Health Elmhurst Hospital. But as a practical matter, it will likely still be called Elmhurst Hospital, as remains the case on its website.
Shuffled between chains, the hospitals in La Grange and Hinsdale continue to have drawn-out names.
For example, La Grange's hospital is now known as UChicago Medicine Advent Heath La Grange. Got that? Yes, it's a mouthful. It's certainly not the catchiest name.
The name represents the two organizations that merged in January.
The La Grange hospital's previous name wasn't so easy either – Amita Health Adventist Medical Center La Grange.
You'd probably get by just calling the facility La Grange Hospital.
