Elmhurst Man Faces Criminal Sex Assault Charges: Police

In another case, an Elmhurst woman was charged with domestic battery.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving sexual assault, domestic battery, a fugitive driver, theft, vandalism and threats. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Sexual assault

  • Dajon M. Molden, 29, of Elmhurst, who lives in the 100 block of Fellows Street, was arrested Tuesday on four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault. Police said the crimes took place about 4:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at his home. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Domestic battery

  • A 35-year-old woman who lives in the 900 block of South Hillcrest Avenue was arrested about 7:30 a.m. Monday at her house on a domestic battery charge. Police said the woman pushed someone else. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Aggravated driving with a revoked license

  • Christian A. Maldonado, 43, of Chicago, was arrested about 10 p.m. Monday at Interstate 290 and North Avenue on a charge of aggravated driving with a revoked license. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Fugitive driver

  • About 3:30 a.m. Sunday at York Street and Grand Avenue, an officer saw a black Dodge Durango that had fled from Elk Grove police. The officer tried to stop the driver, who sped away.

Theft

  • Staff at Mount Emblem Cemetery, 520 E. Grand Ave., told police that someone stole 20 bronze cemetery vases about 10 a.m. Oct. 24. The crime was reported three days later. An investigation is pending.

Vandalism

  • Someone dented a garage door and drew on it between 5 p.m. Monday and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Fairlane Avenue.

Threats

  • Someone made threatening comments about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to staff at Elmhurst Animal Care Center, 850 S. Riverside Drive. The person was given a no-trespass notice.
