Effective Monday, February 28, the Governor has ordered that the State’s indoor mask mandate be partially lifted based on declining COVID metrics. Barring any last minute changes, the Elmhurst Park District will follow suit as it has done throughout the pandemic by removing the indoor mask mandate in District facilities and programs for both participants and staff. Please note that Rec Station will continue to follow the guidelines as set by Elmhurst School District 205.The District has been diligent in exercising a conscious regard for safety by adhering to the Governor’s mandates and the guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Illinois Department of Public Health, and local health officials and retains the right to reinstate mitigation strategies should it become necessary. We understand that some individuals may choose to continue to wear a mask, and ask that everyone be respectful of one another’s decision. Bullying or harassment regarding masking/non-masking will not be tolerated. Please visit epd.org for the most current information and updates.
