Elmhurst Railroad Crossing To Be Closed

The closure is planned for five days, with detours available.

ELMHURST, IL – The Canadian National Railroad has notified Elmhurst that it will close the St. Charles Road crossing for about five days, starting Monday, according to a city news release.

The closure is needed for upgrades to the St. Charles roadway across the railroad tracks, the city said.

A detour is planned using Spring Road, Eggleston Avenue (westbound traffic), Prairie Path Lane (eastbound traffic) and Berkley Avenue.
