Elmhurst School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Elmhurst is August 16. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day )
• 10/10: No School for High School Students (PTC)
• 10/19: Middle School PTC (4:00 - 8:30 p.m.)
• 10/20: No School for Middle School Students (PTC)

November

• 11/20: Elementary School PTC (4:30 - 8:30 p.m.)
• 11/21: No School for Elementary School Students (PTC)
• 12/22 - 12/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/25: No School (Winter Break Begins)

January

• 1/8: Classes Resume
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King's Birthday)
• 1/22: No School for Students (Teacher Institute Day)

February

• 2/19: No School (President's Day)

March

• 3/2: No School for Students (Teacher Institute Day)
• 3/26: No School (Spring Break Begins)

April

• 4/2: Classes Resume

May

• 5/20: High School Graduation
• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June
