Full Stops: Elmhurst Drivers Warned
The work is during the day to prevent overnight work next to Elmhurst's neighborhoods, the city said.
ELMHURST, IL – A dozen full 15-minute stops are planned Wednesday and Friday on eastbound and westbound Electric Avenue at Interstate 294, according to an Elmhurst news release.
The stops will be between 9 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. for bridge beam work, the city said. Electric Avenue is on the Berkeley side of I-294, connecting to Elmhurst's Vallette Street.
The state police will assist with the full stops and traffic management, according to the news release. Conducting the work during the day eliminates overnight work taking place next to Elmhurst's neighborhoods, the city said.

Walsh Construction is the contractor for the I-294 project.
