Gun Found In Elmhurst Store's Restroom: Cops

A man was later charged with careless handling of a firearm.

ELMHURST, IL – An employee at Whole Foods, 215 S. Route 83, found a gun in the store's restroom, police said.

Police said a 35-year-old Bensenville man, who has a concealed carry permit, left his gun in a restroom stall about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. It was discovered minutes later. The man returned to look for it, police said.

The man was charged with careless handling of a firearm. He was released.
