Gusty, Rainy Weekend With Severe Storms Possible Sunday

Here's a look at your weekend weather.

There will be wind and rain throughout the weekend, with the greatest chance of storms on both Saturday and Sunday during the day. According to the National Weather Service, temps will be in the 50s on Saturday, and could make it into the 60s on Sunday.

The greatest chance of severe storms is possible on Sunday afternoon, especially south of I-80, according to NWS. There could be a severe/tornado risk after dark on Sunday.

As Monday rolls around, the chance of rain and storms decreases, and it should be partly sunny. Temps will remain in the upper 40s to low 50s.

  • FRIDAY NIGHT: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. East wind 10 to 15 mph.
  • -SATURDAY: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., then intermittent rain after 1 p.m. High near 52. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • SATURDAY NIGHT: A 20 percent chance of drizzle with a slight chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 49. East southeast wind around 5 mph becoming south after midnight.
  • SUNDAY: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. High near 59. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northeast in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
  • SUNDAY NIGHT: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
  • MONDAY: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 46.
