Hahn Street redevelopment project begins

Three downtown Elmhurst streets effected as developers start building retail and residential multiuse project.

A major Elmhurst downtown redevelopment project got started late last month as developers tore down the existing structures and fenced the Hahn Street property bounded by York Street and Addison Avenue, according to a story in Suburban Life publications.

With those streets affected during construction, the project will have a civic plaza along with 12,000 square feet of retail space, 192 luxury apartments and 150 public parking spaces, according to the Sun Life story.
