Line Dancing and T'ai Chi among Park District classes coming up soon!

Fill the last weeks of summer with health and fitness programs at the Park District.

Upcoming senior health and fitness classes at the Elmhurst Park District offer a variety of options for ages 50 and up. From relaxing mind and body programs to active classes that get you on the move. All classes meet at the Mary E. Kies Recreation Center (155 E. St. Charles Rd.). Line Dancing
Tuesdays, July 25-August 29
(Ages 50 and up) Learn the hottest, most current dances done in the Chicago area. Dances are simple for beginners and you will dance to country and non-country songs. Line dancing is fantastic for your mental memory and your muscle memory.

T'ai Chi for Health
Wednesdays, July 26-September 13, 11 am-Noon
(Ages 50 and up) T'ai Chi's gentle rocking motions and stretching movements improve circulation and digestion and reduce physical tension. Calm the mind and boost energy with exercises that are easy to learn.

Chair Yoga
Mondays, July 31-September 11, 2:30-3:30 pm
(Ages 50 and up) The full benefit of yoga while being carefully modified for those with osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and back injuries. Each class concludes with a short guided relaxation and meditation.

CRC Striders
Mondays, July 31-August 28, 9:30-10:30 am
(Ages 50 and up) Join our walking/fitness club which focuses on walking, low impact exercise, stretching, and fun. The class is appropriate for all fitness levels. Class will meet at the Mary E. Kies Recreation Center gym and be held in the gym and outside on the walking paths and fitness equipment.
