Maple and Third Street Intersection to Close All Day Tuesday

Weather permitting, Elmhurst's contractor will be installing new water main piping Tuesday through the intersection of Maple Avenue and Third Street.

The intersection will be closed during the entire workday and local officials are urging drivers to plan their routes accordingly.

"A detour route will be in place to maintain traffic safely and minimize conflicts with construction activities," they said.

That detour is outlined on the attached map. It includes a route along Larch Avenue to Second Street and then along Elm Avenue.
